Fabrics treated with this textile enhancer are hydrophilic and retain hydrophilicity even after enduring harsh heat, curing and drying conditions. Magnasoft SilQ textile enhancer is also easily dispersible in water and, when combined with certain emulsifiers, demonstrates an affinity for fibrous surfaces and retains those properties even after several wash cycles. With advantages for virtually all types of fabrics, Magnasoft SilQ textile enhancer can be particularly effective on cotton knits and woven fabrics where it provides a slippery, voluminous and pliable feel and texture along with quick water and perspiration absorption. 

There is usually no need for homogenization or colloid milling to emulsify Magnasoft SilQ textile enhancer. Emulsions of Magnasoft SilQ textile enhancer have shown superior stability across a wide pH range - from 3 to 12 - at both high temperatures and in the presence of salt in laboratory tests. This enables it to be applied under extremely demanding conditions such as application of high-speed continuous pad-bath finishing, jet finishing, and foam and spraying finishing, as well as other processes that are typically designed for mass textile finishing.
