Magnasoft™ 130LT Softener
SILKY-SMOOTH FEEL, IMPROVED ABRASION RESISTANCE
A specialty silicone emulsion, Magnasoft 130LT softener typically imparts a smooth, silky touch to treated fabrics without causing yellowing or other discoloration. When generally applied to dark leather, the product does not impart a graying effect, nor does it impact the shine. When used on printed fabrics and leather surfaces, it typically helps to both improve abrasion resistance and reduce tackiness.

Magnasoft 130LT softener generally works well with textile print paste formulations that usually employ Polyurethane Dispersion (PUD) and/or acrylic binder, where it typically enhances the spreadability, rubbing fastness and nontacky feel, which greatly reduces agglomeration. To alleviate environmental safety concerns, Magnasoft 130LT softener is manufactured without alkylphenol ethoxylate (APEO).
Magnasoft 130LT softener is a diverse product with potential applications that include:
- Formulations of PUD and acrylic binders used for textile print paste
- Pigment print paste used in the textile printing process
- Leather top coating with PUD or leather finishing with aqueous nitrocellulose lacquers
- Formulations of PUD and aqueous nitrocellulose lacquers used for leather top coating
