TSR1452E Silicone

At 60% solids content, TSR1452E silicone forms a medium-hard film that helps provide excellent thermal resistance and good gloss and color retention in paints. As a low molecular weight polymer, it can  aid in good compatibility with a wide range of organics.

More About TSR1452E Silicone

Consisting of 60% by weight methyl phenyl silicone in xylene, TSR1452E silicone is an excellent candidate as the sole vehicle for providing thermal resistance, or to be blended with organic vehicles to help boost heat resistance.

In mechanical film testing of TSR1452E silicone, a film of 30-40 µm thickness demonstrated hardness (Sward rocker test) of 55, Erichsen indication of 4 mm, good cross cut adhesion tests, and a bend test flexibility over a 3 mm diameter mandrel.

After exposure to 250 °C for 16 hours, a black enamel formulation incorporating TSR1452E silicone exhibited excellent gloss and color retention compared to standard silicone resin.
