More About TSR1452 Silicone

Consisting of 60% by weight methyl phenyl silicone in xylene, TSR1452 silicone is an excellent candidate as the sole vehicle for providing thermal resistance, or can be blended with organic vehicles to help boost heat resistance.

In mechanical film testing¹, TSR1452 silicone film at30-40 µm thickness demonstrated hardness (Sward rocker test) of 55, Erichsen indication of 4 mm, good cross cut adhesion tests, and a bend test flexibility over a 3 mm diameter mandrel.

After exposure to 250 °C for 16 hours², a black enamel formulation incorporating TSR1452 silicone exhibited excellent gloss and color retention compared to a select standard silicone resin.
