A specialty silicone emulsion concentrate, Magnasoft 588TX textile softener may be an excellent candidate to give fabrics a voluminous, soft touch, while maintaining the hydrophilic nature of cellulosic fabrics. Magnasoft 588TX textile softener normally disperses well in water, making it ready to use in a textile finishing bath. Other benefits typically include quick water absorbency, moisture management and nondiscoloring.

In typical textile finishing, Magnasoft 588TX textile softener is stable up to the boiling point at a range of pH 4 to ~10. It also has a low pour point at less than 20° C. It generally exhibits superior shear stability in both padding and exhaustion processes, including jet finishing and overflow finishing, giving Magnasoft 588TX textile softener performance potential in versatility and durability.
Use of Magnasoft 588TX textile softener may give a cotton-like feel to synthetic fabrics such as polyester and polyester blends. It generally works well with common textile-finishing chemicals, including organic softeners, durable press resins, anti-static agents and select optical brightening agents.
Potential applications for Magnasoft 588TX textile softener include use with all types of textiles, particularly:
