SILICONE ANTIFOAM COMPOUND FOR NON-AQUEOUS, HIGH-ELECTROLYTE, HIGH-SALT IN-CAN FORMULATIONS
SAG 1599 antifoam compound offers highly effective foam control in agricultural products containing high amounts of ammonium sulfate / alkylated polyglucosides (AMS/APG) or similar high-salt formulations. Compared to most traditional silicone antifoams, SAG 1599 antifoam compound will typically provide exceptional foam control without separation issues, when used in applications such as water conditioners and high-electrolyte fertilizers—allowing for long-term stability in high-electrolyte, high-salt products, whether in concentrated or diluted form.

Even at low dose rates, between 1ppm to 10 ppm, SAG 1599 antifoam compound offers excellent stability with little or no loss of foam control, while remaining easy to use with minimal cleanup. Most of today’s silicone-based foam-control agents are prone to separation because they are used at much higher dose rates (up to 100X higher) to achieve similar results.
