New release coating enables smooth processing at high line speeds

WATERFORD, N.Y. (August 30, 2016) –Momentive Performance Materials Inc. Momentive will introduce SilForce* SL7562S base polymer at LabelExpo Americas October 13-15 in Chicago, IL. This new thermal solventless release coating for Glassine papers and filmic liners provides a flat release profile and fast cure at a low level of catalyst, which can enable higher productivity and efficiency for label manufacturing, converting and dispensing.


The medium-low viscosity of SilForce SL7562S base polymer can help reduce silicone coat weight while maintaining good silicone coverage for stable release performance. Providing high formulation flexibility and enhanced cross-linkers for good anchorage of the release coating, SilForce SL7562S base polymer also possesses easy process ability, which can allow coating at high speed without misting and excellent coating quality.
