WATERFORD, N.Y. (May 2, 2017) – Momentive Performance Materials Inc. (Momentive) will showcase Silopren* LSR 7180 liquid silicone rubber, a key technology used in outdoor and area lighting applications, at the LIGHTFAIR International Show in Philadelphia from May 9-11, 2017. Combining UL 94 V1 and 5VA flame resistance with excellent optical clarity and long-term color stability, Silopren LSR 7180 offers manufacturers the durability, clarity and design freedom they need to realize advanced solid state lighting designs. Silopren LSR 7180 is the newest product in Momentive’s Ultra Clear Silopren LSR 7000 series of optically clear LSRs.

Silopren LSR 7180 liquid silicone rubber will be featured in a live demonstration in collaboration with industry partner Sur-Seal in booth #631 at LIGHTFAIR International 2017. This demonstration will showcase the processing qualities and benefits of Silopren LSR 7180 liquid silicone rubber in the manufacture of parts for a variety of LED lighting and optical related applications using injection molding. The demonstration will utilize a BOY injection molding machine.
