Silsoft* E-Pearl PMF emulsion receives top honor for Sensory Ingredients at Cosmetics Design’s Global Beauty Industry Awards
WATERFORD, N.Y. (May 1, 2017) – Momentive Performance Materials’ (Momentive) ground breaking Silsoft E-Pearl PMF emulsion was named Best Sensory Ingredient by Cosmetics Design’s Global Beauty Industry Awards. This award-winning product can help provide a silky, moisturizing effect to skin when added to facial masks and moisturizers, sunscreens and daily-wears, and color cosmetics including beauty or blemish creams (BB) and color correcting (CC) creams.
The multifunctional Silsoft E-Pearl PMF emulsion can also help formulators achieve desired benefits such as blurring the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, brightening the skin and reducing tack. Silsoft E-Peal PMF emulsion is also a strong candidate for use in products with high water content. By simply shaking, Silsoft E-Pearl PMF emulsion can be dispersed easily in most water-based formulations, such as toners. It can also be added post-formulation and may be cold processed to allow for formulation flexibility.
Momentive was also awarded with Best Color Cosmetic Ingredient in North America for its SilForm* HyFlex emulsion. SilForm HyFlex emulsion is a multifunctional ingredient that can deliver a highly flexible film that mimics the movement of skin, for comfortable, transfer-resistant, long lasting wear for foundations, liquid eyeliners, mascaras and water-based color cosmetics.

The Global Beauty Industry Awards, organized by Cosmetics Design, recognize achievements in personal care formulation expertise. More than 250 companies entered the competition in six categories covering personal care product formulation and innovation. Regional winners were selected in March and went on to the global competition with global winners announced on April 4 at the in-cosmetics Global show in London.
Momentive will be showcasing the award-winning Silsoft E-Pearl PMF and SilForm HyFlex emulsions at the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists Suppliers’ Day May 2-3 in New York City.
