Niax Silicone L-6900 copolymer is an excellent candidate to consider as a resin-side foam stabilizer necessary in the manufacture of rigid polyurethane foams. Originally used primarily for water- and hydrocarbon-blown polyurethane foams, Niax silicone L-6900 copolymer can also be considered for use with many other blowing agents. 

Description

The extremely fine, regular foam structure of Niax silicone L-6900 copolymer helps enable it to deliver exceptional performance and durability in thermal insulation. A versatile product, it offers a myriad of benefits to a variety of applications, including refrigeration, lamination and pour-in-place foam applications with hydrocarbons and water co-blown systems. Niax silicone L-6900 copolymer can also be considered for HFO's blowing agents.

  • Compatibility with systems for refrigeration, lamination and pour-in-place foam applications using hydrocarbons as blowing agents and co-blown with water
  • Good solubility of cyclo-pentane and cyclo/iso-pentane mixtures in the typical polyol formulations used in the appliances industry
  • Extremely fine celled foams, thus obtaining foams with very good thermal insulation performances
  • Stabilization of foam growth in pour-in-place applications, in systems using water and HCFC 141b as blowing agents as well as HFCs or HFOs.
