An efficient stabilizer with a wide range of compatibility, Niax silicone L-5348 may be a good choice for creating one- and two-component low-density, open-cell foams for pour-in-place applications that use either water or low-boiling hydrocarbon blowing agents. Niax silicone L-5348 may also be adapted for one-component gun foams, as well as canned foams dispensed with a straw adapter. Niax silicone L-5348 is typically compatible (or nonreactive) with other isocyanates used by the rigid foam industry and can extend the shelf life of prepolymers.
