HIGH EFFICIENCY FOR COOL-STORE APPLICATIONS
Niax silicone L-6884 is an excellent surfactant to consider for use in the production of pentane-blown insulation foams used in refrigerators, water heaters, panels and cold-store applications - wherever low thermal conductivity is a necessity. Offering excellent compatibility with pentanes and other hydrophilic polyol compositions, Niax silicone L-6884 helps avoid haziness and phase separation, enabling extremely fine cells and minimal surface flaws.

Typically delivering good foam flow, even density distribution and reduced void formation, Niax silicone L-6884's extremely fine cells are the key to its low thermal conductivity with cyclopentane and cyclopentane-hydrocarbon or cyclopentane-hydrofluorocarbon mixtures. It can be considered for use with water-blown formulations to provide improved insulation, and is highly compatible with polyols, including polyester.
