Strong and versatile, Niax catalyst C-41 is an excellent chemical agent to consider for the urethane and trimerization reactions in the manufacture of rigid polyurethane, isocyanurate-modified polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foam. The liquid tertiary amine catalyst is highly active, with the added benefits of being nonflammable and low-odor.

More About Niax* Catalyst C-41

A strong catalytic base, Niax catalyst C-41 can help enhance crosslinking - meaning better demolding and mechanical properties of foam products. It improves the bond between foam and substrates and helps reduce surface friability.

Though it typically performs well as an initiator of both the urethane and trimerization reactions, it can produce an even stronger reaction when combined with a potassium catalyst to complete the isocyanurate formation. A low-odor, highly active catalyst, Niax catalyst C-41 typically produces results at levels of 1.5 pph to 2.5 pph when used as the main gelling catalyst in PUR formulations and 0.3 to 1.0 php when combined with another catalyst in PIR formulations.
