SilForce SL6162 release coating is a formulated blend of inhibitor and vinyl-functional silicone polymer. This blend can, typically, efficiently release the inhibitor from the coating at elevated temperatures during processing, thus generally permitting rapid crosslinking to a solid, thin adhesive surface. With a potentially rapid cure and high throughput, even at reduced oven temperatures, liners produced with SilForce SL6162 release coating may provide excellent performance in a variety of adhesive constructions, including asphalt and mastic release. SilForce SL6162 release coating is recommended for application to thermally sensitive substrates such as thin-gauge PET, PEK and BOPP.

SilForce SL6162 release coating is a medium-viscosity polymer blend that may be suitable for solvent-free silicone application techniques. SilForce SL6162 release coating is normally formulated with a catalyst (such as SilForce SL6210 release coating) and a crosslinker (such as SilForce SL4410 release coating) prior to application. SilForce SL6162 release coating is readily blended with release modifiers such as SilForce SL5132 release modifier, generally providing for a variety of release performance applications that include tight release liners or differential release tapes.
