EXCELLENT FOAM CONTROL, EASY DISPERSION

SagTex DSA silicone antifoam is a medium-viscosity, highly potent antifoam emulsion that offers excellent antifoam control in high-temperature, surfactant-rich systems. Noted for its rapid foam knockdown and durability, it also has been shown to inhibit foam over long periods of time. SagTex DSA silicone antifoam easily disperses in all foam systems, as well as in hard water. When the product is diluted in water, no oily spots or lumps are created. It is highly effective in a variety of textile processes including sizing, scouring, printing and finishing.

More About SagTex™ DSA Silicone Antifoam

SagTex DSA silicone antifoam is compatible with a wide variety of surfactant concentrates and foaming systems. It is highly durable in both acid and alkaline conditions, as well as temperatures up to 95° C (203° F). In shake tests, SagTex DSA silicone antifoam far outperformed competitors in reducing foam volume. Recirculation tests also demonstrated the fast defoaming and initial foam collapse properties of SagTex DSA silicone antifoam. Compared to a competitive antifoam emulsion, SagTex DSA silicone antifoam better suppressed foam generation and retained foam control longer.

If you are using SagTex DSA silicone antifoam in a surfactant concentrate, there is no need to predilute before dosing. After you've added the product to your formulation, mix slowly to ensure uniform dispersion of the SagTex DSA silicone antifoam. We recommend a use range of 0.1% to 0.5%, depending on your formulation and the foam control you seek to achieve. If you are using this product in a process application, it is recommended to predilute with cold water in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:10.
