More About Silopren™ LSR 4655 SL Liquid Silicone Rubber
Silopren LSR 4655 SL is a 55 durometer, self-lubricating liquid silicone rubber that has been tested to USP Class VI and ISO 10993 biocompatibility standards. Its design includes a delayed lubricant surface bloom which enables efficient part molding without the mold-fouling seen with other self-lubricating materials.
Silopren LSR 4655 SL has a high slip surface as evidenced by a low coefficient of friction after molding, enabling automated assembly of molded components and devices. Molded parts made from Silopren LSR 4655 SL have been shown to have long lubricating life.
Silopren LSR 4655 SL can also be formulated to a wide variety of hardnesses via our custom compounding center to meet specific end use requirements. Silopren LSR 4655 SL self-lubricating SL can be considered for a variety of applications that require a lubricious surface including seals, stoppers, needle-free access valves, septums and o-rings.
