Silopren LSR 2740 is a 40 durometer (Shore A hardness), biocompatible, two- component self-bonding liquid silicone rubber for injection molding processes. Silopren LSR 2740 offers primerless adhesion to a variety of substrates including nylon, polysulfone, co-polyesters, stainless steel, and aluminum. It is an excellent candidate to consider for two-component medical devices, such as sleep apnea and respiratory masks, IV valves, surgical instruments and sealing elements.

Silopren LSR 2740 offers primerless adhesion to a variety of thermoplastic and metal substrates without adhesion to the mold. Full bond strength can typically be reached after a short post cure or by longer storage at room temperature. Like standard liquid silicone rubbers, Silopren LSR 2740 also has high temperature stability, and can easily be pigmented with LSR color pastes.
