CoatOSil 1211C coatings additive helps enable wetting of waterborne systems on common and hard-to-wet substrates. The product's nonfoaming characteristics and superwetting properties make it an excellent candidate to consider for coatings applied by spray or high-speed roll methods. CoatOSil 1211C coatings additive applications may include coatings for plastic films and components, wood and glass coatings. May improve results on less than optimal prepared surfaces.

CoatOSil 1211C coatings additive is a 100% active, organomodified silicone that typically does not interfere with recoatability. CoatOSil 1211C coatings additive may be an effective replacement for fluorosurfactants in many applications, as it typically does not cause the foaming problems often associated with fluorosurfactants. It may also be considered for use in solvent-based and radiation-curable coatings, where its use can enhance the wetting power of the coating formulations.
In addition, CoatOSil 1211C coatings additive typically:
- Enhances coatings' uniformity
- Does not cause foaming in waterborne coatings or inks
- Does not affect recoatability in internally tested systems
- Improves dispersion stability of pigments and color acceptance
